Background:

The school was built on present site in 1969 and opened on 18th April 1972. In September 1997 a nursery was opened. Facilities at the school include administrative and dining areas, a kitchen, a large hall and seven classrooms. There is also a cloakroom, resource areas and a library to which all children have access. In September 2002 a new purpose-built computer suite was completed. Outside facilities consist of hard playing areas, a separate fenced area and a large field. During the year 2000 the Parents' Association provided a climbing frame in the Early Years play area and a fitness trail for the older children. The school is committed to encouraging out of school hours learning and it offers various extra-curricular activities. The school also participates in regular soccer, netball and athletics fixtures against other schools. Throughout the year visits are arranged to local places of interest in order to enrich the learning experience of the children. The school aims to provide a caring Christian atmosphere, which is secure and welcoming to all, to help the moral, spiritual, cultural and social development of everyone.
