Background:
Knebworth School founded in 1870 in buildings in Old Knebworth Village. Very soon it outgrew its accommodation and moved to its present site in the heart of the village, in 1912. The school has made various additions over the years that enable it to offer current facilities. A purpose built Nursery building sits alongside the reception classrooms with hard and soft play areas for the foundation stage children. The school has a hall for PE, Drama, assemblies etc. A dining area, computer suite (17 stations) and 56 computers in total, all networked. There is a music room, breakfast and after school club and a natural classroom which completes all the facilities. The school provides wide range of extra-curricular activities such as: art, choir, cricket, golf, dance, football, netball, short tennis, ICT, environmental club.
