Meridian has a privileged place in Royston. It is the only school in the town for students aged 13 to 18. The school provides facilities including ICT with exciting opportunities in communication, web design, programming and independent e-learning. Its students participate in local and national fundraising charity events such as: The Red Cross, Marie Curie Cancer Fund and Macmillan Nurses. The school has a new building and major refurbishment including new playing fields. It has strong sporting and musical background. Its major community makes use of buildings, playing fields, tennis courts and indoor swimming pool. The school provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities including: basketball, swimming, football, netball, rugby, tennis and choir. It provides various opportunities to enhance the learning of pupils. The school aims to encourage a holistic approach towards personal and social development and citizenship alongside academic study.
