The Broxbourne School founded in 1968. It is an ability comprehensive school. The school has excellent specialist accommodation including extensive grounds and playing fields with two gymnasia. Recent buildings have included a design technology block, performing arts centre and laboratory refurbishment. The school has a large library with 34 computers and an online catalogue available throughout the school computer network. The size of the school allows a wide selection of courses to be offered to pupils both at GCSE and in the sixth form. The sixth form is a centre for A level and AS level. There are choirs, orchestras and ensembles for all ages. In sport pupils have achieved district, county and national honours. Netball is outstanding with national championships in all ages in recent years. The school aims to raise all pupils' expectations standards of achievement in a secure and supportive environment.
