Background:
The school is situated just off The Green in this thriving small village, set in the midst of an area of outstanding natural beauty. The school opened in 1862 in the old flint building, now a private house, in Church Lane, just off The Green. The new school was built behind the duck pond, next to The Cricketers in 1958 with two classrooms and one office. The site was developed further in 1969 with the addition of two further classrooms, the central hall and the kitchen. Around this time the second playground was constructed for the growing numbers of children. There are four large individual classrooms, a well-stocked library, our central all purpose hall, kitchen and administration rooms.
