Background:
Opened in 1968 the present building is situated in an attractive rural environment on the outskirts of Rickmansworth. It has its own playing fields and outdoor swimming pool. The school'seeks to educate pupils using a combination of traditional and investigative methods and welcomes parental support. The Parent Teacher Association organises successful social and fundraising events. The school'supports many charities and has links with St Mary's church and the local community. Sports coaching, gymnastics, music tuition and residential visits are just some of the extra-curricular activities on offer. Christianity underpins the school, although other religions are studied in religious education, and children of other faiths are welcome. Respect for religious and cultural diversity is promoted. The school has 'a tradition of aiming for excellence and for every child to experience success in a Christian environment. .
