Background:

There has been a school in the village of Preston since 1849. The present building of Preston Primary School opened in 1966, and has been extended several times since. Children are taught in small classes with specialist teaching in music, science and French. All junior children take part in netball and football rallies. It has an after-school sports club and an art club, and music tuition is offered in guitar, piano and violin. The school aims to enable every child to reach his or her potential in a caring and supportive environment.
