Thundridge School is situated within the village community of Thundridge and adjacent Wadesmill, approximately one mile north of the town of Ware. It was originally founded by Lord Hanbury Estate. The main building dates back to 1894. The children are given opportunities to use the internet as a resource both for accessing and communicating information. Each week the junior children have the opportunity to learn practical skills and participate in competitive sports with the other schools in its cluster group. The children are grouped by hockey, netball, football, cricket, rugby, rounders, tennis and cross-country. The school aims to provide a secure and caring environment in which children gain confidence both academically and socially.
