Background:
St Cuthbert Mayne RC School opened on 22nd September 1958 for the pupils' of St Mary and St Joseph Parish in Boxmoor. The school was originally called Blessed Cuthbert Mayne and had 57 pupils' on roll in its first term. This number has now grown to 240 pupils. The school enjoys close links with its feeder schools of St Rose's Infants' School and John F Kennedy Secondary School and all the Catholic parishes in the surrounding areas. The school provides various extra-curricular clubs for its pupils such as drama, netball, orchestra, football, cross country running, mini tennis, brass lessons, piano lessons, violin lessons and recorders. Learning together and striving for excellence in the name of Christ.
