Background:

The Ryde School is a primary and nursery school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is three to 11. The school is situated on the northern edge of Hatfield and opposite Hatfield Park. The school has seven separate classrooms within the main building and a fully self-contained nursery unit within the school grounds. It has also a hall, dining room and library. The playground consists of hard surfaces and large grassed areas. There are two adventure playgrounds. There are two intakes per year into the nursery and reception classes. The sport activities include netball, football, country dancing, cricket, rounders, textiles, drama or art are offered to the junior children dependent on teacher expertise and time of the year. The school aims to provide happy, safe and caring environment.
