Background:
The school is situated on the fringe of the green belt north of London and founded in 1964 as a three-form entry co-educational grammar school. The school has ample playing fields such as artificial cricket pitches and an open-air swimming pool. There is also a sports hall with fitness studio and gymnasium. The school has language college status and foreign languages are emphasised with French, German and Spanish taught to A-level and Italian and Japanese to GCSE. Many other trips and visits are organised. The school aims to provide a calm, positive and purposeful environment and it values a community that promotes respect, confidence and achievement.
