Background:

The John Warner School is located at the northern end of Hoddesdon close to both Stanstead Abbotts and Hertford. It strives to provide a high standard of education in which all pupils can achieve their potential. The school delivers a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum appropriate to the needs, aptitudes and ability of every student in the school. It combines the traditional values of hard work and academic learning with up-to-date teaching strategies. Sport makes an important contribution to the life of the school and is valued by students, staff, parents and school governors. Activities take place at lunchtime, after school and on Saturday mornings. Teams for girls and boys represent the school at hockey, basketball, football, netball, cross-country, badminton, athletics, cricket, rounders and swimming. The school believes that extra-curricular activities are an essential part of the educational experience which it offers: theatrical productions and major team sports which members of staff and students organise, clubs ranging from choir to gymnastics and from cycling to computers.
