Background:

Breachwood Green Junior Mixed and Infant School is set in the village of Breachwood Green, which is seven miles from Hitchin, five miles from Harpenden and close to Luton airport. The children reside in the village of Breachwood Green, the surrounding hamlets, villages and the outskirts of Luton. The school is a charming Victorian building with more recent extensions. All pupils' are regularly involved with some type of music whether it be traditional or creative. Children also have the opportunity to learn to play the recorder and ocarina through extra-curricular activities. The children are encouraged to take part in all aspects of PE and there are clubs for football, netball, rugby and other sports. The school offers additional opportunities for children with some extra-curricular activities such as outings, day trips, residential school journeys, museum and library visits. The school aims to provide for the full development of each child according to need, with conscious reference to other members of the school community.
