Background:
Kimpton Primary is a happy and successful school, situated in the centre of the village of Kimpton, which is near Harpenden in Hertfordshire. The school building dates from the Victorian times and was extended in the late 1960s to early 1970s. There are six classrooms, a Nursery building, small group teaching area, resources room, a main hall, separate dining room, a library, staffroom and office areas. There is a very large playing field, surrounded by trees and hedges and two playgrounds. There is a climbing frame area and a 'Trim Trail'. The school provides wide range of extra-curricular activities such as: football, netball, busy boots, cricket, gymnastics, maypole dancing and music lessons.
