Background:
Margaret Wix Primary School is a Hertfordshire county council day school for boys and girls aged from three to 11 years. It occupies two one-storey buildings consisting of eight classrooms, an art room, an ICT suite, a library, two halls and a separate dining area. It was opened at Easter 1955 and has large and light classrooms. The school also has two playgrounds and playing fields. The nursery and reception classes occupy adjacent classrooms in a separate block. Several clubs are organised outside the normal timetable. Various groups of children represent the school at netball, football and athletics. The school aims to provide a safe and secure environment in which all children feel valued and can develop intellectually, emotionally and physically to their full capacity.
