Background:
Marlborough School is set in 24 acres of playing fields. During recent years, a major refurbishment programme of the buildings has taken place. In 1997, the mathematics suite was improved with the addition of a computer centre. During 1998, a new technology centre was created. A new library was opened in September 1999. As well as playing fields, the school has a gymnasium, tennis courts, hard play areas, and a heated indoor swimming pool. A full sized sports hall with changing facilities was built in 1998 to complete the sports complex. In September 2002, two new laboratories were opened and since that date three existing laboratories have been refurbished. Digital projectors and sound systems have been installed into science and English teaching rooms and the staff has been issued with laptops.
