Background:

St Michael's is a Church of England school offering Religious Education and Worship which is Christian and bible-based. The pupils attend St. Michael's Church three times a year and the ministers take assemblies in school once a week. The school aims to develop and maintain Christian values within the school and hope that parents who send their children to St. Michael's will understand and be supportive of this position. Using a blend of traditional and modern teaching methods the school hopes to bring together the best of both worlds. Pupils will have opportunities to take part in practical work, go on visits and outings, learn French and use information technology. Pupils will also wear uniform, have regular homework and undertake spelling and times tables tests. There are regular opportunities for parents and staff to communicate about the progress of pupils and foster a positive partnership which will benefit the pupils' education.
