Thriplow CofE Primary is set in an 'attractive rural village'. The grounds provide space for sporting and play activities as well as a conservation area. The surrounding area is seen as a 'rich resource to the school's curriculum'. The school is 'extremely well resourced' and boasts two or three computers per classroom. Class sizes are kept fairly small with 'obvious benefits to all the children'. Parent, governor and community participation is encouraged and close communication is seen as 'very important'. Children are encouraged to learn to play a musical instrument. Recorder classes are held weekly as an extra-curricular activity along with other sports and music clubs. 'The school aims to create a happy stimulating environment that encourages in the children a positive attitude to work, and that fosters their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development'.
